I wrote these songs mostly in a short burst a couple years ago, thumbnail sketches of regular people in semi-desperate straights, trying to figure out how to do the right thing. About half of them ended up on Petty Crimes, but the rest of them share the same DNA.

These demos were recorded quickly as I wrote the songs, and all but one was recorded on an iPhone using Garageband. Some of the lyrics have changed for the better, and I mostly hit the right notes. Just like life.
